The subtle way of taking for granted!

They say the greatest men and women are givers and not takers but you realise there lies a thin line between appreciating what you get and truly appreciating what you get. We get so indulged in accepting what we’re poured with time and again that we unapologetically stop acknowledging the source and the roots! But why though? Ever gave it a thought?

Are we so really thirsty for importance that we become blind to paying attention to the ones awarding us that very importance? Are we so in need of the attention that our basic sense of gratitude turns paralysed?

Out of the millions, crores take you for granted for who you are, for what you do, for what you serve. You become no less than that unidentified automated solution to every problem. A portion of a hundred, addresses the person in you. Maybe still nameless but not ignored. Taking people around you for granted is a silent killer I tell you. You would never possibly figure out how smoothly it wipes out every alliance you were ever a part of. Trust me, acknowledging what you get is truly an art. Be it those daily mere good morning messages, be it those often how are you concerns, be it an everyday hi, or the dining table companies; be it the friendship you share regardless of the duration, be it the relationship regardless of the flaws don’t miss any. I repeat, do not miss any. Even if you take the humanity for granted, who knows tomorrow you might have to grow into some inhuman’s prey?

So do you still wanna survive amongst the crores or do you wanna breathe amidst the hundreds?
