You need to get this straight!
Your assumptions, your rage, your opinions are not going to even turn a stone from here to there, moving an entire mountain is beyond reach. Suddenly you developed this hatred for Bollywood, suddenly you have all the proofs regarding what has been going on in the industry, suddenly you’ve become this only true human on this planet opposing hypocrisy, suddenly your Salman “Bhai” has become “The Vicious Salman Khan.”
Suddenly you all are noticing Sushant Singh Rajput’s absent mindedness in between the interviews, where was this sensible observation of yours all these months? You could’ve caught these gloomy video clips earlier and circulated the same as a result of reaching out to him right?
Sushant Singh Rajput could’ve left a suicide note stating everything you think you already know, disclosing every black envelope, for the world to know the chapter of injustice but now that he didn’t, that either signifies his gem heart that didn’t need any further heaviness and chose to rest once and for all or it signifies that none of what you’re tweeting about is true.
Suddenly you’re hating the industry that have been emptying your wallets each time a release date was announced. Suddenly you know the world of difference between Overrated and Underrated films. Suddenly you’re talking about Vivek Oberoi, feeling the loss of his career, and strangely, he never struck your mind ever before especially while you were booking tickets for “Bajrangi bhaijaan,” while listening to “Dil diya gallan,” and only enlisting his charity habits. Suddenly you realize movies like “Highway” and “Raazi” didn’t deserve recognition because the protagonist is a living product of Nepotism but guess what? You’re done watching and appreciated the same.Â
Instead of genuinely mourning his loss, instead of promising yourself to become the kind of a human he himself was, to take an oath of setting every example he worked on and desired to, while he was alive, instead of actually feeling the absence of a true model of an Influencer, all you’re doing is playing the role of a certain group of idiotic media. Mind you, by doing this, you’re indirectly screaming on his behalf and as much as I’ve read about him? He was just not this kind of a human.
Hard work resembled his personality and that nowhere matches to what you are doing on Social media 24/7 now. If you were asked, you’d have just been satisfied with your stable career in Television (just a hypothetical situation) but he chose to expand his benchmark by not only trying his luck in the industry of glamour but also, survived strong amidst the air of Nepotism and rays of Hypocrisy.Â
Kangana Ranaut has always been brutally honest whenever she opened her mouth. She has been talking about the insights of this Industry right from the beginning, where were all of you then? Instead of just sharing all her videos, why didn’t you all come together with these boycott hashtags? It took this power lady a lot to create the platform she rules over, but I haven’t seen many talking about this also! Strange.
Where I am myself an hypocrite on specific occasions, when I know we all have a face or maybe more than once that we do not wish to expose, I wonder how are people so confident while attacking an entire Industry for something they’re already familiar to and also, in a tone as if Oxford has just added these terms to its list. Till three days back, you all were following every overrated actor and you still do, you were a die heart fan of both their blockbuster and flop movies, posted birthday wishes on your timeline for them, danced on their songs and now suddenly you know the spelling of real instead of reel. Wow!
Let’s just check the number of shares and retweets on “Gully Boy” receiving all the awards once again, instead of “Chhichhore” and then get back. Then none of you critics pointed out this unfair celebration and tagged Sushant Singh Rajput?Â
I am no one to talk for or against an Industry I’ve never been to before but I am certainly someone to talk on what I felt was needed to address after keenly observing the happenings each time I log into social media. Talk for a cause, instead of trying to kill a flying bird with a sword.
Evolve your mind! You and I, we all can still celebrate his presence by adapting his human acts, his one-of-a-kind thoughts and way of looking at life. Even if any of this claims happens to be true, neither anybody shall come forward to even dare to ban the overrated actors, nor anybody shall ever question their position. The Industry shall continue ruling “It is what it is” and the name shall get faded just like any other name. The least and the most we can do is make sure his memories and his goals and the impact don’t die. Let time decide what’s true and what’s not; instead of saving time in writing RIP instead of Rest in Peace, save your time by not becoming a criticizer but the kind of human who can actually speak out loud about what it is without any shiver and hesitation.
